The symptoms of venous insufficiency may be benign, like heavy and tired legs, but may also be much more serious, like varicose veins, painful hemorrhoids and even phlebitis. As an alternative to conventional treatments which are frequently invasive and painful, herbal treatments such as benaforce (horse chestnut) tablets have the distinction of being positively pleasant in comparison while preventing varicose veins symptoms from worsening as well as alleviating the immediate symptoms.

The horse chestnut seed, that shiny brown conker so beloved by children, is anti-inflammatory, astringent (tones blood vessels) and anti-oedema (excess of fluid in the tissues). This herb has many constituents which work together giving its clinical action in peripheral venous disorders. These include saponins, flavonoids, tannins and coumarins.

• Hemorrhoids relief
• For the symptomatic treatment associated with venous insufficiency
• Varicose veins
• Fresh Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) seed tincture
• Sugar, gluten and lactose-free
MEach tablet contains:
Medicinal ingredient:
Extract of fresh horse chestnut (aesculus hippocastanum L.) seed (ratio 5:1) 191.25mg, equivalent to 956.25mg dried seed, standardized to 50mg (22 - 32%) aescin per tablet.

Non-medicinal ingredients:
Microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, methacrylic acid copolymer, copovidone, colloidal silicon dioxyde, soya polysaccharides, talc and triethyl citrate.
Adults: Take 1 tablet twice daily, every 12 hours, with water during meals.
Some people may experience headache, dizziness, gastric irritation, or itchiness. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid taking in case of known allergy to any of the ingredients in the product. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare practitioner. Do not use if safety seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.

The only reported side effect is a mild gastric discomfort that is eliminated when the tablet is taken with food. The most important risk factors of venous insufficiency can be controlled. It is therefore necessary to modify these factors (lose excess weight; improve the diet by eating more fruits, vegetables and whole grains; stop smoking; exercise; etc.) to effectively stop the disease progression.
