Gymnema is used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine: (1) to help relieve coughs (kasa); (2) as a laxative to help relieve occasional constipation (sramsana).

Each ml contains:
Medicinal ingredient:
Gymnema (gymnema sylvestre, leaf) 250mg.

Non-medicinal ingredients:
Distilled water and certified organic alcohol.
Adults: Take 2-3ml (60-90 drops) 4 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. Allow at least 6-12 hours for laxative effect to occur. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or health products. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 7 days.
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are taking medications for diabetes; if you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you have a kidney disorder or are taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications; if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhoea. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist. Do not use if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes or diarrhoea. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal is broken. Store at room temperature.
