Abreva works best if you start treatment at the first sign of a cold sore or fever blister outbreak – when you feel that tingling sensation and continue applying it as directed five times per day until the cold sore is healed up to a maximum of 10 days. Directions:

Abreva is safe and well-tolerated and can be used by adults and children 12 years and over. Wash hands before and after application. Rub in the cream gently to the affected area of the face or lips 5 times daily to a maximum of 10 days until the sore is healed.
